Chatbots are an interesting medium—they encourage users to actively engage with content rather than passively ingesting it (i.e. pressing play on a video and sitting back vs. asking a chatbot a question). I've built three chatbots on Motion AI's platform. One is a bot in the corner that can tell you about my background as a UXer. The other two bots are below—one is a restaurant recommender and one is a customer support bot.
All of these chatbots are essentially elaborate conversation trees, but my goal was to select a specific use case (e.g. I'm hungry in Raleigh, where should I eat) and see if I could build a simple bot to fill that need. My prototyping process is definitely still evolving! I'll add more chatbot thoughts here as I learn more.
